The ALMASONORA project presents “ANIMALS OF POWER,” a series of eight original works for solo harp, a continuous exploration and experimentation with the classical harp. It recovers the perspective of the indigenous peoples of the Americas on the sacred power of animals, reinterpreting pre-Columbian artistic and musical expressions.

The ARPA VIVA Vol 1 LATINOAMÉRICA publishing project presents a series of twelve original works for solo harp, born from a deep love for this diverse and vibrant land. The pieces were created for trainee harpists, with carefully crafted writing that seeks to balance the richness of Latin American music with an accessible technique.

This book compiles a carefully curated selection of works presented at the second edition of CanArts, an initiative led by musicologist Rosa María Díaz Mayo and supported by the Candelaria City Council (Tenerife). Conceived as a meeting place for reflection and practice in the musical arts, CanArts is structured around three fundamental axes.
